This is a blog about fiction related to philosophy, ancient cultural struggles against powerful civilizations, spiritual views and natural living. Other topics appropriate for this blog would be anything related to writing, publishing, authors, authors on the web, reviews of relevant books, philosophical fantasy, and historical novels.
This blog is moderated, so posts for the sake of spam will be deleted. Comments that are generic with links to sites that are completely irrelevant, will be deleted. Most people interested in fiction are not looking for help with erectile dysfunction, work-at-home scams, etc. They can find plenty of these opportunities in their inbox, if they can refrain from automatically deleting them (it’s actually getting more difficult to control the impulse to delete spammail).
Fiction is a reflection of real life that often focuses on issues with a unique point of view. The characters can play out each side of an issue and the readers get to understand through the effects these issues can have on actual lives. Fiction can also be entertaining, insightful, compelling and inspiring. Those qualities most often drive writers to complete novels, short stories, screenplays and plays.
This blog is for those who understand that fiction can hold more truth and value than most nonfiction books. Most of us have an imagination and creative capacity far superior to any technological representation of fictional writing. The movie is almost never better than the book. For those of us who most enjoy books, this is what it’s all about.
